Country Roads

"Country roads, take me home, to the place I belong"
This is the road in front of our driveway. Gotta love it! If you like country life that is.
So we've been busy. Old Front Gate
Here's the front gate as it is now

It may not look like much but it took us a week in 105 degree heat to get it done. See those posts? There were 5 of them to dig in 3 feet deep. Turns out it was rock under there. We were doing this inches at a time and ended up having to do it by hand. We had to drive about 10 t posts (the smaller metal ones that you clip the barb wire on to) by hand also. So even though to the city eye it's not much, we sure are proud of it! When there's time some time in my life, I hope to landscape it, but that's out there in those someday dreams.

We bought a goat head gate and a ramp and we built a chute

This red thing is a creep feeder. Creep is food and you can put down that gate thing and it will exclude the larger animals and only let the babies in. Pretty neat. So we're ready. Of course we didn't want to pick anybody up till after we got back from Hilton Head, we leave next week, but things never work out the way you plan sooooo stay tuned...................

Did anyone notice I'm getting better at the picture thing and I have discovered colors!
