I know, I know but it's very busy around here. A lot has happened and will be happening in the very near future.
First the divorce. Well the dissolving of the partnership anyway. We talked a bunch and the 4 of us have decided that our timetable for goat ranching is just too different, so we are down to two, Rory and me. We did this in a very friendly manner and all is well with the 4 of us. The farm is still Double R but now it is only 75 acres. Reed and Sherri still live next door and are busy getting their redi mix cement plant up. Meantime Reed is still on the road a bunch with his trucking business.
Of course we are still fencing. I think it will be lifelong. This is our friend Frank. He came out this spring to help with the Fence. This is now known as Franks Fence. I need to get a little plague. This is a cross fence that divides the property about in half front from back. It was hot! But not as hot as now!! Have I mentioned that it's over a 100 degrees here every day? We have taken to getting out to the farm by 6am which is just about sun up. We are done by 11am. It is just too hot.
We were invited to go fishing at our friend Norman's house one weekend. He has a log home he built himself on a river. We had to take 4 wheelers to get to the fishing place. We had a blast and it was a nice break from "The Fence" We had a great time and we actually caught some catfish.

It was a very fun day.
Some sad news. On June 13th we lost OB. He was the best dog. We had him for almost 12 years and he was truly a part of the family. I won't go into the details here but we had a great last day and the vet came to our house. We didn't have to move him and hurt him and we didn't have to scare him. You can't ask for more that that. He came to us from Debbie, Michael's sister, and she's the only one he ever bit, (he didn't mean it) Technically, he was Michael's dog but he really was mine. We miss him. He had a great last year. He lived on 3 acres, had a pond and a friend next door,Pete, who came to visit every day. Pete still comes to visit me every day and it is a big help. We will get more dogs sometime in the future but for now we are not home enough and I can't leave a dog home alone all the time. Pete is great. When I'm home he's here and when his parents come home he goes home. Kinda like grandchildren.

Anyway, time is up for now. A lot happening this week. We get the well on Thursday, house plans are in the works and it looks like we may get the goats sooner than we thought. By the way, we pick up the cows on Thursday. (Cows? What cows? Who ever said anything about cows?)
Till next time whenever that might be............................................
